Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is used to assist individuals in identifying and changing their unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours.  The CBT model helps us understand how our behaviours, thoughts, and emotions are all interconnected.  We can see how our thoughts can affect our moods & emotions and also how our feelings can influence our behaviours and reactions to a situation. By changing the way we think about things or by modifying our behaviours we can often improve the way we feel. CBT is used to manage a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, and trauma.
